Code Division- Tendering Feedback

Who are Code Division?

Code Division is a not for profit SQA Certified Learning Organization.

Our aim is to equip all our students with industry focused digital and coding skills in an environment that fosters both innovation and inclusion.

We design accredited courses and programs for industry, community and schools.   At the heart of these bespoke courses is an emphasis on enabling our students to have both the technical and soft skills needed to succeed in the technical age.

What We Offer

Our offerings have 5 key components:

Staff: Staff experienced in designing and delivering courses to industry, community and schools in IT, Software Development, Cyber Security and Data Science. Staff that consist of program leaders, qualified tutors, work based assessors and industry experts.

Work Ready Skills: Our focus is on equipping our students with the necessary technical, business and soft skills to gain meaningful employment. We offer work based learning with the emphasis on competency and skills.

SQA Accreditation: We offer a catalogue of SQA Units that range from beginner (Level 4) to HND units (level 8). These are vocational units that cover a range of topics and are designed to meet specific employer needs.

Bespoke Courses: We embed SQA units along with developing work ready skills to create bespoke industry focussed courses. Courses that can be classroom based, online through our extensive virtual learning environment, or blended with a combination of both.

Costings: We guarantee that any additional money generated we use to support our courses in communities and schools.

Bespoke Accredited Programs:

Our staff specialise in different areas from software development to business and IT, cyber security to data science.  As an SQA accredited learning centre we can offer individual SQA units or embed a combination of different units to create bespoke courses to suit your organisation.  These can be made to your company requirements and those of your client base as well as offering your employees accredited courses that can enhance their own CPD.

Courses can be delivered in a number of different ways; classroom based, online through our virtual learning environment or blended with a combination of both.  These can be timetabled flexibly and we can liaise with you regarding days, times and duration.

As a not for profit organisation once we pay staff costs and expenses any additional money generated from our industry courses are used to run our courses in the community, for the third sector and in schools.  There are additional costs in the administration, assessing and verifying of SQA units if you would prefer non assessed courses then we can provide quotes for one day, three day and five day courses.

HN units are specifically designed to meet the needs of the employers. Each unit provides both the theoretical knowledge as well as developing practical skills on a particular topic. A normal SQA unit (1 credit) would be delivered in approximately 35 hours.

The course content will include Word, Spreadsheets, Database and various other digital skills.

As part of the bidding process, we have been asked to provide an indication of some companies who may be interested in interviewing any prospective employees who may have the necessary skills to work for them.

If your business would be interested could you please email Helen Love on codedivision2018@gmail.com.   There is no obligation to take part or support the course, this is merely to gauge if there would be a interest within businesseses.

As Code Division are a social enterprise, and not for profit – meaning that any money accrued from corporate training, will be used to provide training in the community.
