Come along and find out about the many training options open to you and your team to learn about the maintenance and running of electric and hybrid vehicles.

With the Scottish Government’s focus on electric vehicles and the incentives in place to make the switch to electric vehicles or hybrids, the number of these types of cars on the roads are set to soar.
Automotive engineers, mechanics and maintenance technicians will all need to update their skills so they are prepared to carry out the maintenance and repair work on these vehicles.

West Lothian College will be running three courses focused on electric and hybrid vehicles to provide you with the skills you’ll need to work on these new vehicles.

 Level 1 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle

Awareness – ½ day course, day or evening. Suitable for all, including service staff and EV/Hybrid owners or users

 Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle

Routine Maintenance Activities – 2 full days/4
evenings. Suitable for technicians, mechanics and automotive

 Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle

System Repair and Replacement – 3 full days. Advanced
course for those who have completed level 2
